noob question

Hey i was wondering about the splash guards i see that come stock on the z06 behind the rear wheels. why doesnt the c6 come with stock splash guards did they not think it needed it? I see a lot of guys here have the Nakid parts Splash guards they seem to be good. is it necessary to add what comes stock on the z06?

I suppose it depends upon where you live & drive . . .I bought some, test fit them to the car and decided I didn't care for the look. . . and have very few nicks or chips after almost 3 years and 20k miles.

Your decision, but I wouldn't put `em on the top of your mod list . . .

To me, they're nearly invisible and they save a lot of clean up around the rear wheels.

I really didn't care for them after I first installed them, but now I don't even know they're there. Same thing goes for the snaps for the Southern Car Parts Bra.

I am glad I installed them. Even on white, the black splash guards are barely noticeable. Infact, I really do forget they are there when looking at the car!

I didn't install any mud/splash guards on my C6 and after 21k miles on my 07 there's no damage.

Maybe the roads here in Texas are in better shape. I personally don't care for the way any of them look but that's just me.

I have some slight scouring behind the wheels. But after putting on some stone guards, I never could accept the look. Took 'em off, and they sit in my box of parts in the garage.
