For the 4th time this year, I'm setting in my den, and suddently I hear music coming from my garage, below. I go down to find the radio is my 2005 C6 just playing away, enjoying itself! I go upstairs, retrieve the fob, open the door,...... and the radio shuts off. Almost like, "Oh, crap. I've been caught" !! I shut the door, everything is off. What the %#@!*?$ is going on here. Is my car possessed? It's in reverse like it's suppose to be. When leaving the car, all is shut down, and the car beeps at me to let me know it has locked itself. But, every once in a while ........................... ????? Halp!!!
Sorry but that's funny. Don't know if it applies in this situation but have you done the reflash? Other than that all I have to offer is a dealer consult. Maybe shopdog will stop by here and offer a solution. Good luck.
Obviously something is very wrong. Until it gets diagnosed, I suggest being sure that you turn off the radio before shutting the engine down; that way if your car decides to put itself into "Accessory" mode at least the radio won't come on. (On the other hand, maybe it makes more sense to intentionally make sure the radio is on before shutting the engine down; that way you'd at least be alerted!)
Now if you turn the radio off and shut down the car and the car radio goes on, it will take more then a technician to solve your problems. Very spooooky. Are you sure you are pressing on the bottom left of the switch to turn off the car?
I had a DBS car, as part of my shutdown ritual I ALWAYS made sure that everthing I could shut down was done. Heater, radio, always manually shut off before engine was killed..
Something is wrong with your car, but MAKE SURE you shut things down solid till you find out whats going on. Possibly that might help.

I agree- pretty damn funny (easy for me to say, right?)
I must admit that the C6's are much more prone to be possessed. About a year after they came out, I was at my dealer and they were working on one that the high level brake light would not go off. Short of pullling the wires or disconnecting the battery, nothing they did made it go off. They were on the phone with GM.
I'm almost positive here, I think you need a new Retro Encabulator. Hopefully you have a friend who works for Rockwell so you can get the employee discount, otherwise they are very expensive.
