Default Somebody please explain

I am looking at Corsa sports for my 06 auto. Can I go with just axle back part#14169 or do I have go with the cross pipe kit complete #14167. What exacly does the cross pipe accomplish on the automatics? Can I bolt axle back onto my existing cross pipe? If I am reading their website correctly it seems not?

It is my understanding that you will need the cross pipe to allow the Sports to bolt up to an A6 equipped car. The transmission is different (obviously) than the M6 and subsequently gets in the way of the pipes. This mid pipe will allow the system to bolt up.

There is a Corsa kit recommended for automatics that includes resonators that reduces drone. Automatics run at a lower RPM range where drone is more noticeable. The X pipe will only reduce the popping or burble on deceleration and it doesn't help that much.

14167 C6 6-Speed Sport A/T w/Paddle Shift Sport Exhaust System with Twin 3.5" Pro-Series Tips. This includes the cross pipe and resonators.

This is a great system, in my opinion anyway, but yes you need the system for the A6.
