No stolen C6s? My insurance should be lower.

I agree, once they take it belongs to them. Gladly will purchase a new one.

Yea but it will be a 'new' used C6. Most everyone insures their car for actual cash value. Assuming one's car is owned free and clear....say your 2006 C6 is stolen and written-off as a total loss, you'll be able to purchase another used, 2006 C6 from insurance proceeds. Insurance won't provide enough money to buy a new 2008 C6. Even if you finance and use proceeds for a down payment on a new model, you're still going to take a hit. Hope your car isn't stolen.

I wouldn't worry about it-apparently none have ever been stolen.

Steal it? Half the time you can't even start it!

Let's be clear about what we're talking about. There are lots of ways to "steal" a C6, but only one really counts.

1. Someone could find the car in a garage, parking lot, etc., and flatbed the car away. That really isn't the classic "theft" situation - it doesn't take a genius to flatbed a car, and it's hardly a "subtle" theft, now is it?
2. Someone could carjack you - that's not a classic car "theft" situation, either. Carjacking is a crime of violence, not a traditional theft.
3. Someone could steal your Vette because you left it running and/or left the fob in it. That's your own stupidity and not a classic "theft" situation.
4. Finally, there is the kind of theft I think the OP meant - someone actually breaking into your Vette, getting it to start, and driving off with it WITHOUT doing 1-3, as noted above.

Has anyone ever heard of #4 happening? Read about it? Seen it? Experienced it? If so, I'd be interested to hear about this since I've never heard of it.
