My Parrot unit should arrive tomorrow. I also ordered the plug and play connection. It makes it really easy to hook it up. I got the connector and basic Parrot unit for about $250 delivered. I'll post after the install.

Just a warning, if you bought the plug and play kit from parrotkits.com. We just installed the Parrot 3000 along with the quick connect from parrotkits into my son's 07 Civic SI. We had to go back in and set the volume controls on the kit to the min setting because of feedback. If you don't have the volume controls on the connect kit, then you may need to add some resistors to cut the volume down (look on the parrotkits website for the instructions on adding the resistors).
I was thinking of buying the parrot minikit, which requries no installation. Just charge it, and place on your sunvisor. It sells for 80.00. I will check it out, this coming weekend.
Doesn't the new ZR-1 have Bluetooth standard? I recall reading that somewhere. If this is true, it should be too hard to buy the necessary parts and install bluetooth into all C6 Corvettes.
installed Parrot in my 06 convertable... control unit in the ashtray mic over the mirror.. intergrates with the sound system and works great... not with the top down however... too much wind noise... suspect it is best in coups

Yes, which tells me it will likely be available on all '09s. That was rumored by one of the "Rick's" a while back anyway.
GM may never install Bluetooth in there cars and trucks. As they
have Onstar
Actually, it has been available on some Cadillacs for a few years. But you are right - GM seems to want to force us to using their technology before finally accepting that it's not the answer.

I put my mic on the dash right next to the "A" pillar in my vert. Figured there would be less wind noise there. Had to take the console apart again, cause when I was installing new shift boot from DSV, I broke the keypad for the parrot. Parrot is sending me a new one free of charge. I will post pics of complete install before I close it back up.
Also, I did have to set the Parrot mini amp gain very low. Volume was way too loud.
Yes, I changed out the factory unit and installed a Alpine IVA-W200 head unit last year. The main reason was to plug in my ipod but also added the Bluetooth option. The Alpine definately made the Bose speakers sound much better all the way around, XM,CD's and Ipod sound great. The blue tooth system works as well as any other that I have used in vehicles.
This policy of forcing customers to use onstar has forced a lot of customers out the door. I know because I sold GM cars for a year and had many customers walk off the lot over the unavailability of bluetooth.
