Canceled over a year ago........ don't miss it. And "70454" I'd check and see if it even works in your garage. Mine didn't, it lost signal as I drove in..............
Thanks.
Unfortunately I only have a one car garage and the 05 is in there. The 70 (covered) and the truck sit outside. The Suburban will be holding the vehicle kit for the Sirius and the boombox will be in the garage. My bro had a boombox and the antenna had to be extended outside in order for the Sirius to get reception at my place.

As far as I am concerned, 12.95 a year is about right for programming that, except for changing the channels, I have no control over. I have access to free Sirius radio through AOL and don't use it. I have access to several dozen music channels through my satellite provider and don't use them. I just pop CDs into the CD changer and listen to what I want to hear.
<snip>
I doubt its the $12.95 a month but rather something that just isn't used.
When I ordered my C6 I didn't want XM (or NAV) and it wasn't because of the money. I knew they were features I just wouldn't use.
You're right, its not the $12.95 a month. Its the horrible underwater sound XM has. Also, contrary to what others keep saying, during the 3 months I had it, I heard plenty of commercials on the XM stations I was listening to. Not sure why pay for "commercial free" music when its not truely commercial free. My CDs are definitely commercial free (and sound way better - but so do my local FM stations).
I received 3 months free on my new vert and haven't even had it activated. I had it in wife's H3 and really didn't care for it. I just can't see paying for radio.

I have XM on the 08 that runs out next month after the 3 months. I have also not found a channel that I like and as far as I'm concerned good ridance. In there offer via the mail there was no $77 yearly rate but a $149 yearly renewal. Gotta love companys that try to high ball the suckers and I expect a later phonecall with the 77 rate. After having Sirius for two years on all my other cars and at home, all I can conclude is that I really like their programming and choices and XM IS AN INFERIOR PRODUCT. I hope they do not merge as I don't want any of what they got. And Babba Boey to you.
On an '08 which comes from the factory with the receiver installed, in order to use it during the free trial period, do you still have to give XM your billing info ?

For $12.95 a month I'm willing to listen to 8 minutes of commercials per hour. That's 52 commercial free minutes of music an hour for free, and that's better than listening to the incessant self-promotion on XM.
I'm on my 2nd year at 77.00/year. I told them I would cancel if I didn't get that price and no credit card either. Have them bill you then pay by check. You don't want them to have your cc#.

XM sucks. Free radio sucks far worse. Sirius any better?
I'm cancelling mine too, but just because I want to get Sirius.
I got it for XM 81 (PBM, the dance channel), but it has deteriorated into bland electronic music, not the Eurodance I was hoping for.
XM 20 and 21 is ALL hip hop. "Top 20"? Are all 20 "best" songs in this country REALLY about dealing drugs, doing drugs, prostitution, and living in the ghetto? I feel like I should be cruising in an 80's Cadillac with chrome spinners when I listen to that crap.
Worse still, I drove from Tampa to Los Angeles without satellite radio and in 2800 miles of driving I did not hear ONE SINGLE decent radio station in the entire country, and this was while searching continuously.
I feel like I'm in Mexico, venturing in Detroit once in a while. 90% of the radio stations in the South are playing horrible Mexican music. The other 10% play Hip Hop. ARGH. I have completely lost faith in radio. I'm getting Sirius and hoping it might be a little better.

I have to agree with POWERLABS. I really only listen to 3 channels on XM (80-81-82) anyways. If I can get the $77 again ill keep it otherwise its getting dumbed.
