Are you asking about the air pressure resonance that occurs when the roof panel is removed or mechanical/exhaust resonance? Just trying to learn. Thanks.

Actually, I put the Route 66's back on today with the stock X pipe, the resonance is gone. I love the Route 66's(no drone), but they're a bit to quiet! They'll hold me over for a while, though.

Ive heard that from several people myself. The partition blocks most of the sound waves (from the rear speakers) from going back into the hatch. They also say its helps but does not eliminate the wind buffeting.
The one from EXOTICVETTE.com gets the most votes and the roof can be stored without its removal.

I love my partition. I'm always carrying things that I just throw in the partitioned off area and when I need them they are right at arms length. Super handy for coats and caps and such. There is no change in exhaust resonance. It may be my imagination but the stereo seems to sound a little better.
Will the partition help with the win buffeting through the passenger window? The one that makes the passenger seat belt flap around unless you raise the window a couple of inches?

There are some REPORTS that it will help buffeting, though it's been too cold here since I got my partition to remove my top long enough to confirm that personally.
However, some other posts have suggested that you can significantly decrease buffeting if you only lower one or both windows 1.5 inches from fully closed. Fully closed or fully open apparently makes the buffeting worse. Again, I can't confirm this theory yet...

As shown on the Exoticvette website, it will work fine with a cargo mat. The extra 'tail' section of carpet can then be tucked under the mat or all the way under the OEM carpet - either way you like it.

Fits just fine with Lloyd's cargo mat. Tuck front of partition carpet under the cargo mat or factory carpet. Tuck the ends of the partition carpet up and under the speaker grills. Looks like a factory intall and the Exotic Vettes partition can stay in place when the top is stored in the back.
