Here is a full install below on a 2005. I developed a product called NPP in a box the only available self contained system to run either the GM NPP or Z06 bi-mode systems. It eliminates the cost and problems in trying to install all the GM parts needed to operate the system. It’s available on www.nakidparts.com

Here is a repost of Craigster05 post in the tech section

In my case, throw in a set of headers, and you have rolling thunder at the flick of a switch. The combo of the headers and the NPP in Wild gives you AMAZING sound and “HEY, LOOK AT ME!!!” volume…the tonality and sound is that of a NASCAR stock car at WOT outside the car, yet quieter and less drone inside the car than the GHL exhaust I was so fond of. The install is very straight forward, easier with a lift, but as Ed has shown with his car, you can do it on jack stands. Here are some pics and descriptions of the step by step process; you will receive complete illustrated instructions with your purchase.

NPP Mufflers waiting for Install

Factory Exhaust Removed

Drilling a ¼” hole in the rear well

Run the Vacuum Tube though the hole

Run the Vacuum tubes through existing frame locations

After dropping the rear sway bar, snake the NPP mufflers up and over

Attach the pipes to the mufflers

Connect the vacuum hoses to the NPP mufflers

Make sure your muffler pipes are straight and level

Muffler hardware done and vacuum tubing run

Locate vacuum nipple in well

Place NPP controller in bottom and attach vacuum and power lines

Place lid on top, you can still store items here (Does that look perfect or what???)

Connect power cable to the Seat Heater Fuse

And of course, a quick run with Ed's Polishing kit

That's all there is to it.....All that's left is to go out there and have a blast with your new found customized sound.

Just did the NPP and NPP in a box mod to my 07 A6 vert. I could not be more happy. Best of both worlds. Loud when I want and quiet when I need it to be a good neighbor.

I agree NPP sounds a little better than the limp sounding stock exhaust (at least when it kicks-in) but IMO you're better off going with a quality, after-market exhaust such as Corsa or Borla. They look better; sound better; the small performance gain is comparable; and, they work on a full time basis.

I give credit to our excellent forum vendors like Pipedreams that recognize the demand...Corvette owners want to 'fix' the Corvette exhaust...both the stock exhaust and the NPP exhaust.

Everyone has to find the solution they like best. I offer my opinion merely as food for thought. Good luck whichever way you go.

Actually I forgot the video of the system. I know many point to the aftermarket systems but honestly once you listen to this (only recorded on a cheap still camera) you will be hard pressed to find an after market exhaust this aggressive but yet with the press of a button be stock quite. But just like colors everyone has their own opinions. I had the B&B route 66 and wished for something more aggressive but did not want it loud all the time, these fit the bill. The tips are not as nice as the B&B but close

Wanting to do this to my vert as well, but haven't found any details on the vert installation...where did you put the M2W box? how did you route power cable from there to fuse box? Thanks for any information you can share...

I am the only one currently selling this system and was the first to develop it. All the instructions are on my site and the vert install is the same. I have sold almost 50 and 20% have been verts

Hogvette I sent you an email. The install of the box and power cord is quite easy. If you have ONstar it is a little more fo a pain but Ed's instructions pretty much cover it.
