I had to do that sorry.
Axl Jack I don't live with my parents. I moved out when I was 18 I live on McChord AFB currently. However I do visit my parents every week since they live 20 minutes from base. And sometimes I spend the weekend at their house.
Anyway to answer your question UmCanesZ06 I'm enlisted E-2 Active Duty Air Force. Getting out shortly though.
It's good to see there are young guys out there driving the C6. So far I haven't seen another young C6 owner around where I live.

Im 22
My dad has the means and I am a responsible driver. We both are HUGE car nuts, plus he had a yellow corvette at my age as well.
I am extremely appreciative and realize how prevlidged I am, and one day I do plan on returning the favor.

I bought my first vette at 22 ( my own $) in April of 2000 ( '99 coupe) and since then 01 Z06, 04 Z06 and 08 coupe, but you know what? Then entire reason I could do anything at 22 was my WONDERFUL parents paid for an awesome school ( Butler University in Indy) and I came out with no loans and got very lucky in my career after. I love my parents to death and would be nowhere without their support and kindness. I have been very blessed

I started working in technology just before I turned 18 (while in college). It was the technology bubble (way before it popped) and I was billing out at $200/hr doing CCIE work by the time I was 18. This afforded me a brand new vette every 4-8 months.
Of course this is much rarer these days (as young whiz kids abound nowadays so they don't bill out nearly as high). Fortunately I was smart enough to evolve with the times and now I manage many teams of whiz kids and bill out accordingly.
I am genuinely curious how a 17 year old kid can afford a new C6 these days. Not saying it's not possible, it certainly is - I just want to understand how it's possible since that niche IT market is almost entirely gone these days. One of you 17 year olds clue me in (and I don't mean the ones getting paid for good grades - no disrespect to you, but that isn't hard to figure out).
I'm sure insurance alone is more than I'm paying in property taxes and I live on the water in south Florida!! That's some taxes!!!!
To the gentleman commenting about 29 not being middle aged... Honestly, I don't think I'll make it to 60 - so I'm middle-aged. I tend to burn it at both ends.

I just would like to know what exactly a 19 year old does for a living, that allows him to buy a 40-50k car.

I just would like to know what exactly a 19 year old does for a living, that allows him to buy a 40-50k car. There is one guy on here who says he is 21 or so and a full time student, and yet he bought his own house Vette and Truck. Just wondering what all you teenagers do to earn the money. And this inst a jealousy thread. I am on my 5th Vette, and the first 4 were Z06's. Bought my first one in 03 when I was 32.

Im quite talented at managing money. I've actively managed my own portfolio since I was 16 years old starting with just shy of $20k from mom and dad, whom I owe everything to. Since then, I have nearly ten-folded my money in 4 years. Just seems like I hit some good picks year after year. Two or Three great picks will account for 70% of my gains for the year. I also manage about 750k for some close family friends/relatives/clients which helps bring in some commission. Im 20 now, and just now buying my vette which I wanted for about 3 years. Im also getting ready to take my first CFA test (one of the hardest tests known to man), and hopefully with the help of God, I pass and go on and make some good money to buy that ZR1

hilarious. You have no idea how stressed I am about taking this test. My future highly depends on me passing this test. With a competitive job market and massive downsizing in Financial Services, I have to pass this test to get every edge I can. Its hard competing with Ivy League grads. This test is RIDICULOUS. You guys have no idea. I'd almost rather attempt the MCAT or w/e lol.
