Maybe your 3 year old battery simply failed? I haven't a clue where you live... Hot? Cold? Manual/Auto? Left something on? Insatalled a new piece of electronics? Who knows.
Hell, happy THursday! At least I have that much of a clue.
Two years on the OEM battery is good for the 05. My MN6 died at 23 months and just under 5,000 miles. Always in reverse when parked and nothing left on. When it is dead it is real dead and would not take any kind of jump......flatbead to dealer. Next time will probably get any Optima yellow top.
My thoughts are that its most likely a bad battery. Some MN-6 were afflicted with a system problem that drained the battery. Auto's didn't have the problem.
What I meant by build cycle was how early your VIN number was. The battery problem occured mostly on early build cars. ( I had it numerous times).
I have an 05 M6,and my battery went dead after 2 years. They replaced the battery under warranty. Also, there is a computer update that addresses the DBS issue if that's it. It's calibration #12613186.
Called road service and they couldn't get it started. The guy who came only had a hand held battery booster. He said he told his boss that there would not be enough power to start a Corvette. I put the charger on it for three hours, started right up and has not been a problem again.(Hopefully I do not jinx myself here) Have any one of you had this problem.
I'd say your battery was simply at the end of its useful life. When was the last time you drove the car? What are your driving habits, do you drive it for at least a half hour when you take it out? How often do you drive it?
There is a lot more to battery life than most take in to account. While others have reported better results the getting to know DVD that came with your 2005 Corvette recommends that you use a trickle charger if the car will routinely sit longer than 27 days. There are so many parasitic drains on the C6 battery that even starting it and driving it short durations every day can contribute more to draining the battery than to charging it. Just because all DBS cases are dead batteries it doesn't mean that all dead batteries are DBS. You don't have to leave anything on to contribute to the death of a battery over time.
Frankly, I'd say replace your battery and get back to driving and enjoying. The OEM battery is not robust enough to handle a deep discharge. If it was dead, you have likely shortened the useful life even further and can expect another dead battery in your future.

Same here however they also replaced the alternator twice.
It shouldn't matter how early in the build cycle or anything else for that matter. GM engineers screwed up and they also chintzed out on cheap batteries to add insult to injury. OEM batteries on other vehicles usually last at least 4 years no matter how long or short your drives are. The GM Delco batteries they use in corvettes are junk. Why should they put a good battery in a $60G car when no one but the owner has to live with it? I also have a 2005 Ford GT (not the mustang) and no one on that forum nor I have ever had a battery problem, same with all of my other cars. Further, GM knows they have a problem because their warranty printouts show it and it is probably cheaper for them to change the batteries than correct the real problems. Typically GM. Wonder why they are in trouble?
