One of them for sure. I always liked Thrush mufflers better, more throatier sound I thought. Cherry Bombs were sweet too. In fact, they both sounded better than any mufflers I've heard on our beloved C6's
I was just gonna write that. Thrush became my favorite even tho nothing really compares to the sweet sound of "glass packs."

LOL toooo funny ,I remember having thrush mufflers on my 66 Galaxy ,they did sound deeper than the cherry bombs.....I remember you could see either the bombs or the thrush hanging out the bottom of cars because the rear end was lifted so high. AHHH the good ole days in Detroit cruising Woodward.

Exactly!! THe good ole days.....but seriously, the muflers made for the
C6 sound like grocery getters compared to that deep throaty Thrush sound. Why doesn't anyone make mufflers like those? Sure, there are some "loud" mufflers out there but they don't have that same sound and I don't remember any drone with thos old mufflers either.
Although I am too young and wasn't around for "the good ol' days," it sure is cool to hear all of you reminiscing about what seems to be an amazing era in automobile history.

Pay attention as these are YOUR 'good old days'......
Cherry Bombs were, and maybe still, made very cheaply. They were prone to rusting out, and the "glass" inside burnt out or compacted because the sound built as you added the miles onto them. As I recall some of the guys even poured gas into them and burned them out BEFORE they installed them. Anyone remember that?
Ah not with my 8 track blaring Deep Purples Highway Star through my mind blower speakers
Oh yeah, not to mention Inagodadivita blaring out loud over, in my case, thrush mufflers on my 66 Mustang GT with a dual 4 tunnel ram and 488 gears screaming down the road!! Man, fun talking about those ole days. I can still hear them babys rumble at idle with the cam thumping away. Sigh...as I look outside at the snow...
ahhhhhhhh.......Cherry bombs, what great memories. Of course, back then if you REALLY wanted to step up to the 'best' glass packs, you went with Walkers. Anyone remember those too?
Yeah, I remember....Walker "Continentals" I think, right?...all my rich pals (though I cleaned them out in poker!) bought those glass packs for their 'stangs and goats. Frugal me, I bought the Thrush glass pack for my ''66 GTO Tri Power 389 Convertible. Boy, did that GTO sound sweet!..and nobody gave two hoots about "drone" back then.
