I don't know how much of a PITA it would be to put a new one on, but I am very interested in this. It seems like there are a lot of cool things that a creative mind (unlike mine) could do. I would love to still have the lights be seem through, but I am very interested in anything here. (I chipped mine, too.)

hey, don't forget it also lights up green when ready to be pushed. maybe you could mask the center of it up and paint around it? just a thought,

Not to mention maybe it can be designed so it cant be pushed through the dash. This happened to me twice with my '06, not so far with the '08.

The button on my 05 chipped after about 30 months. I'd like to see brushed aluminum to match the interior pieces or carbon fiber to match the 08 interior.

Hello All
I received a sterter button today. I will put some time into it Thursday to figure out a way to make a fixture to mask the green light area. I think painting the entire button will make it look cheap. I also want to make a carbon fiber cover but that may take some time with all the new projects we have going on at the moment. I should have something in a couple of days.

People seem to like the red start button but why? Green means GO! Why would you press a red button to start!

Maybe I didnt write this correctly, I am going to try and mask off the green light area so you can see it and paint the rest of the button red. I may be wrong, and I am sure I will be corrected if I am but, I think a lot of cars that have the push button start type button seem to be red from what I remember.

I want to offer the buttons in any color C6 color. I just want to be able to make sure it looks perfect. I am concerned about how to mask off the button. I think that will be the hard part.
