Easy install much beefer assembly - 1st thru 4th gears are amazing and effortless, 5th and 6th are ok but you have to be very deliberate and think about pushing to the right more than with the stock shifter. I think this will get better with use since it is such a tight assembly.
The MGW shifter sounds decent...not problem with 5th and 6th as for me these are strictly overdrive gears for freeway or Interstate driving. I had always thought I eventually go to the B&M shifter but I may checkout MGW when the time comes. Thanks for sharing your feedback.
I really am enjoying my MGW shifter. Every time I drive the car the car I get a little more comfortable with it. What a vast improvement over the stock shifter.
That going to be my next MOD if the streets ever clear up in NJ
I see this is the shifter of choice among members and now there is supposedly(sp) no choice only a 30% reduction model
I will have to order one soon...spring will get here

Welcome to the MGW Club ~ I'm not sure how many miles you put on the car using the new shifter, but I've found more than anything, it was more about getting use to a 1st rate shifter ~ new verses old.
