Default Graphically Speaking....

I'm pondering whether or not I should add stripes or some type of graphics to my new C6.. I've always wanted my cars to be a bit different than the average and have added some in the past but THIS IS MY FIRST VETTE and I'm feeling a bit guilty about even thinking about it.. Any thoughts???

Wecome aboard If it makes you feel better, go for it. Doesn't matter, some will like it, some won't but it's your ride, enjoy.

Well, your car, do what you like. I pesonally don't like stripes and am so glad that GM has finally gotten away with all the stripe packages and such. Even Pontiac has finally learned that more is not necessarily always better.

And there are plenty of after market companies, so if you like that kind of thing, then you can customize it to the way you want it to look. I'm not knocking others who have them, if you like them then get them as its your car, just not for me any more.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Vette!

Check out: www.vettestripes.com

A number of forum members have gotten stripes and they look great - - I'm still on the fence on what- if anything- might look right on mine, so I've done nothing with stripes, but lots of little mods from PipeDreams and others that I feel make my car 'my own'..

The nice thing is that with these high quality stripes for the forum sponsors, you can always take them off !

Enjoy - - -

I was this close to ordering stripes this year for my C6, I decided against it. If it was a 1970 Chevelle SS, stripes are cool.....C6 Corvette...I am not convinced.......yet.

Congratulations on your new Corvette and welcome. There's no right or wrong so if you want to stripe your C6...have at it. Some vendors offer more subdued stripes which are nice...more of an accent rather than a bold statement.

Although I've seen some Vettes that look fine with stripes, I just don't care for them (some Vette's with stripes look too 'Viperish'). IMO people put stripes on their Corvette solely as an 'attention getter.' There's nothing wrong with that but I feel the C6 looks great without stripes (and certainly turns enough heads without them).

There are a lot of us with stripes from www.vettestripes.com Mike is great to work with and one nice thing is it is an easily removed mod if you get tired of them.

Welcome to the forum. Stripes I think are somewhat of an acquired taste.

They seem to look better on some colors than others, but can still be tastefully done.

make sure they will be easy to remove, if you decide you don't like them, your choice.
