Does anyone have any info on 09 changes; colors etc, and/or when will they be announced?

The 2009 model lineup will be introduced at 12:00 CST at the National Corvette Museum at Saturday April 26th.

Plan on a new exterior color, a new 3LZ/4LT interior option.

Not much other info. leaked out. After the major changes for 08, it's doubtful there will be many more than Paul has already listed.

I suspect Crystal Red will be exiting? If so, there would most likely be a new red then...

Not that I know of. Look for a new red in 2010.

I heard that the wheelbase will be extended by 45 inches....to make room for the Hybrid battery packs.

You know what would be great? A high performance audio option, to match the high performance engine. Just a thought. Just a dream.

Interesting on the bluetooth. I honestly wondered why my 08 didn't have bluetoth and installed a parrot kit. Hell, in many states talking on a car phone without BT would be illegal.

Anyways, I purchased my car and as I was finalizing the delivery experience immediately realized why these cars do not come with such a common feature like BT. It's the damned OnStar crap. The onstar person immediately tried to sell me minutes.

GM doesn't want you using YOUR phone in your new corvette, they want you using THEIRS!

damn them.

The recent Corvette Quarterly I received has a Q&A with the GM color lead designer...very interesting.

There is going be something called the ZR1 for 2009. which I have heard NOTHING about. I think that it has something different on top the engine, but I don't know what that is going to be...and I think there is going to be a new silver that I have not seen on the ZR1 either........

Oh, and the ZR1 is going to be available at huge dealer discounts.......

New wheel option. Colors. Blue tooth. IPOD capability. Seat improvement. Minor HP increase. New Brakes.

I seriously doubt that. A new color? Sure. Maybe bluetooth since we've seen the steering wheel with BT controls on it? Sure. No IPOD interface - they're putting that off until the second coming. No new brakes (the ZR-1 gets those $10k puppies). No new power, and I would doubt new seats.
