I heard that the IForge anf Forgeline rims, have an issue. i was told that the rims are very soft and when you hit a pot hole, you are very likely to damage the rim, i also heard about a pitting issue. i'm looking at the Iforge Aero, i was wondering if this is true?

I've had 2 sets of I forged on my Zo6 and now my Viper and have never had a problem.

I can tell you from my personal experience which was not good, to stay away from iForged. Do some search on the forum and you'll see what I mean. They used to be a forum vendor at one time and not anymore, which makes you wonder why. Like I said, just my experience.
the feeling i'm getting from reading this forum and all the others. It that THEY SUCK A$$ when it comes to customer service, also they had a few issues with peeling and flaking. which has been addressed. But the rim quality it's self is good. it depends on how you are driving the car, not the rim that can damage the rim. I think i'm going to go for it and them, out i'll post the pics when i get them.

No they are not. Before getting my 360 Forged I had Forgelines, nothing but good things to say about them, IMO they are a great wheel, have no experience with IForged.
I have to say though if you a quality wheel with great customer service go with 360 Forged
I waited a long time for my IForged wheels. I did my home work here on CF and insisted on specific size and offset. IForged did tell Kenneth at The Mod City that they would not guarantee the fit. Oh well, they fit perfect. No rubbing issues and they look great. IForged builds a great wheel. Just don't let them do the math. Kenneth was very good to deal with.

I live within driving distance of the Iforged Headquarters. I have been there a number of times with a few issues and customer service has been excellent. Vince remembers me and my name even though he has only met me a few times. I had a problem with a part and he gave it to me for FREE!
They are not as expensive as HRE but they look just as good. I love the way mine look and how easy they are to clean. Just make sure you get the new TPS mounts and you are good to go!
The only issues I ever had with IForged was their crappy customer service.....but that was several years ago, maybe they've gotten better.
The problem with potholes is due to the ultra low sidewalls people run when they go to oversized rims.....has nothing to do with the rim mfg.
took the words right off of my key board...
Customer service is HORRIBLE!!!
The hoops are all made by, and bought from, the same company, the centers are designed by each company and some are made by the same companies as well... I like my Iforged Aero's, however I will probably NEVER purchase form them again... Forgline or 360 Forged will probably get my business next time...

You must have a relative that works there or something.
Iforged has the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. EVER.
Forging a metal makes it stronger and harder. It can make it more brittle but it wouldnt be softer.
This, and redzone are correct. If you've been to some of the more "potholed" places, only a steel wheel (of the old kind) could stand up to those potholes. Your chances of wheel damage increase as you go lower profile tires.
I have read, however, about iforge's recent customer issues, so it may not be just long ago.
If you hit a pothole hard enough any wheel is going to bend. The benefit of a three piece wheel is that if you destroy the lip or barrel you do not have to throw the wheel away, you can replace the part and have a perfect wheel again. iForged makes nice wheels and are almost half the price of other 3pc forged manufacturers. The service is on par for the price, much like what we deal with at Chevy service vs. that of a premium manufacturer.
