I was checking out Ed's site after sending for the CF decals and noticed that he mentioned on the Z51 option they have greasable outer ends on both of the rear toe-links. I do not have the Z51 option BUT I have the greasable rear toe-links. Is that normal?? I am asking for help here because my local dealer doesn't have a clue. Thanks
Thats nice....a factory freebie.....NOW what is the difference between the greaseable ones and the NON greasable besides having to grease them every now n then?? Did I in fact get the Z51 suspension??

The standard end links are simply sealed units that don't require maintenance or additional lubrication. The Z51 end links are expected to be used on cars that are on the track or at autocross events and will be used under more severe driving. They are set-up to prevent pre-mature wear by lubricaiton. They perform the same function.
08 Z51 no longer has grease zerks. If you have the zerk fittings, do not use Mobil 1 grease on these these fittings. You will have a constant drip of thinned out red grease on your garage floor out of the grease zerk.

Some day I'll have to check it on my 08 Z51....I've owned the car since October and it has been sitting in garage covered for the past 38 miles on the odometer.....

I also was not aware of this. In fact, it was my impression that the F55 also started getting zerks in 08. Having an 07 z51, I can't quickly check.

Incorrect, my 08 Z51 along with other 08's I have seen have them. If you track the car, GM recommends greasing them after each track event. Otherwise, once a year is fine.

I picked up my 2008 on 1/31. It has the grease fittings.
My guess is that all '08 Z51 'Vettes have the rear zerk fittings. Some owners just can't find them. Some don't know what they're looking for and some don't know where to look.
From previous posts;
Some owners believe all C6 'Vettes are Z51.
Some believe all C6 runflats are Supercars.
Some believe that chromed wheels weigh more than painted.
And some actually believe that if it's posted on the Forum it's true.

Wonder if he just means that he removed the grease zerks and installed a plug to prevent the grease drips he mentioned?
My 2005 Z51 does not have Zerk fittings on the toe links. Dealer said they must have been replaced with one that doesn't have them. Was told that all of the toe links he had did not have Zerk fittings.
Acccording to my 09 owners manual, cars equipped with Z51, Z06 and ZR1 come with the zerk fitting and require greasing. This is a carry over from previous years owners manuals. My 09 Z06 has the zerk fittings, just as the manual states.
