Sometimes Its way easy to differentiate the Vette owners who bought their vette for the Performance and the ones that bought it to be posers...
WHO THE HELL CARES!
Red looks good...What ever it might be as long as its not brown...
Flaaame away ladiez!
If you want to see the ONE TR C6 ever made, it is in the museum. Maybe you can log on and look at it on their web page....it does look different than the VR by a bunch.........
Would you be so kind as to provide a link to the TR C6 at the Museum? I've been searching with no success. I am really interested in comparing Torch Red and the Metallic Red. Thanks!

The Torch Red C6 is no longer at the museum. It was purchased last year by Dave Ressler. The pics of it at the Museum were posted by Talon90 earlier in this thread.
Here are a couple of threads showing the various reds side by side but I can't find any with Torch next to the Crystal:
Does anyone know whether Torch Red or a similar color will be available on the Corvette at some point? As silly as it sounds, one of the reasons that I sold my '05 vert is that I grew to hate the Victory Red, especially when the car sat next to my '00 Torch Red coupe in the garage.
As tempting as it is to get another C6, I just can't pull the trigger until my preferred shade of red is available.
TR available again in 2010 woohoo! check out any of the 2010 Grand Sport post on this forum.
Despite Nevada Bob's assertions and since I've not only been spreading the forum tripe I recall I was the first one that said it. The C6 looked hideous in Torch Red. I've seen it in person. I too owned a C5 in Torch red and it worked on that car. While not my favorite red it did garner its fair share of attention. I always hated the way it would go orange in the wrong light.
Just to be fair, it wasn't the GM executives that didn't like the Torch red. It was the design team.
The Torch red car that I'm referring to was painted at the factory on June 25 2004 under the authorization of Joe Spielman and Wil Cooksey. It was then shipped to Detroit for evaluation of the Corvette Brand Team.
Engineering students from Kettering University were present at the evaluation along with select GM executives and when polled liked the Torch red. Both camps (Corvette design team vs. Corvette brand team and executives) made strong arguments. A comprimise was reached in the Victory red.
Does anyone know the story of the Purple Corvette beside the torch red C6 in this photo?.. i have seen parts of this car in other photos on the web but never really found out any info. on it. Thanks
