Pulled over for doing 55 mph!
Maryland State Trooper pulled me over on highway, i asked why?
" You don't have a license plate on the front of that car" ... Writes me a 60 dollar ticket........What a @##*'in joke, like he had nothin better to do!

Yea, some can be asses. Last week the local badges were camped out at a busy intersection, and when the light turned red, they would walk up and give tickets for not wearing a seat belt. They should have all been ticketed for J-walking.

I remember an age old question, "what's the difference between a cop and a thief?--- A cop has a badge!!- Of course I don't agree with that as their are bad apples in all lines of work.

We have the front plate requirement here in Texas too. I asked an LEO friend about it, and he advised that they'll pull vehicles over to establish precedence for it, so that when they actually need to pull over a suspicious vehicle this gives them cause. If they'd never pulled a vehicle over for this reason, it's possible that the case could be thrown out of court.
Not saying that it's right or that I'm happy about the front plate laws - just offering up a different perspective.

Looks like like it is on you and not the officer. You elected to violate Maryland State law knowing there would be consequences if you got caught. A law without consequences or enforcement is only a suggestion.

NY State Tooper got me last year for the same thing..cost me 90 bucks for the ticket. I was pissed as well, but theres not to much you can do about it.. I've since purchased a top flight plate bracket and holder.. First rate product that works as intended.. ( car really looks ugly with the plate on though)
