Default No Problems, how about you?

I remember last year when I had my 08 Z06 on order, I saw some threads here talking about quality concerns with the 08's (and maybe 07's). I had just gotten out of my 06 vert, and was upgrading to the Z. Obviously the messages didn't impact my decision in the least. I am now happy to say that 5 months after taking posession of my car, I have had no, zero, zip, nada problems of any kind. Not a rattle, not a cosmetic issue, not a functional issue, nothing. I don't believe I can say that about any other car that I have ever had and I have had plenty of new cars over the years. I'd say either I got very lucky, or GM did a pretty decent job on this car. I did do the museum pick up and that may have helped prevent cosmetic concerns given the focus they have on that, but that wouldn't have helped with functional or other issues. My hat's off to you guys at GM (and no I don't work there).

Anyone else able to say this?

My 2005 has been great for 3 years now....virtually problem free. I've had a couple very minor issues but nothing I consider of much consequence. I'm very happy with the quality and reliability of my C6.

As an aside, my 2001 Suburban has been bullet-proof as well...over 100,000 miles and I've only had to replace a water pump. With that kind of mileage I know I'll have to replace it soon but I hate to because its been so good.

I know problems happen with any make car but no complaints about GM from me.

2008 Z06. 2079 miles and no problems.

I can find things to nitpick about but that is for the sake of being negative.

Sorry, right at 5000 miles. Mostly a daily driver since it gets better mileage than my pickup

I have 300 miles on my 2008 C6 Coupe.

Two problems:

1. The permanent part of the roof has some paint imperfections that will not polish out. The dealer backed away from the problem suggesting that they would use compound on the paint. Yikes!!!

2. There is about a one inch scratch in the hatchback glass that you can feel with your fingernail. The dealer said that he was nervous about replacing the glass because of the process needed for repalcement. (gouging out the window seal, etc.) Yikes again!!!

Right now I am planning to live with these problems. No one sees these problems but me. I have to point them out for others to see them. Of course I would prefer not to have them but my fear is that the repairs may put me at risk of other problems, and so I might regret getting the repairs done.

Any thoughts?

2007 convertible purchased April of '07, put about 4500 miles on it up until December 1st. It then went into winter storage until two weeks ago. Zero defects, zero problems. I realize that's probably the kiss of death now that I've said it, but so far this has been a great car. Started right up after winter storage, no problems at all.

2007 C6, purchased new and I now have 28k miles on it. I'm about to change the oil for the fourth time and this car is as solid as it gets.

I didn't buy it to sit in a garage all day. It's my daily driver and has been completely problem-free, not even so much as a rattle.

My 08 has been perfect except for a bad battery... which was replaced and no more issues. It's my daily driver and does not get babied..

My 08 has 4000 miles on it.
The shifter rattles on hard excelleration.
Other than that, the car has been absolutely perfect.
If I ever have to take it to the dealer for a real problem, I'll have the shifter fixed then.

My 02 coupe had a minor quirk. The passenger window would stop working every now and then. I would wrap a towel around a rubber hammer and hit the bottom of the door a few times and it would work for another couple of months. I had 29,000 miles on it when I traded it for the 08 Vert I am now driving. I have 3500 miles on the Vert and I love it. A totally different automobile than the 02 and no problems. Well, just one....it's black and thats MY fault NON STOP GROOMING

My 10 month old 07 was the wife's daily driver until 2 weeks ago. It has 13k miles now and at 10k miles a lifter started making all kinds of noise, so much noise the "Premium Bose" can not mask it. The lifter hammers at any rpm, hot or cold. I have to run a quart of Marvel Mystery oil in it to shut it up.

I have yet to find a dealership I would trust to take the heads off for the repair. I want the warranty to last longer than the payments so I bought a new Hyundai Accent for her to put the miles on. Ok - the Hyundai will never win any races but it is quieter and smoother than the Vette and here's a real kick in the butt - - the $325 upgraded radio will blow the Vette's Bose system away!!! Now that just ain't right, is it??

I love the Vette but with the rocking seats, rattling roof, engine noises and lack of quality repair shops I just can't be proud of my Corvette's quality. I did expect more for $60 grand. And I did know better than to buy at the dealership I bought from so I can't complain too much. I'm sure someone knows a good shop in Vegas where I can get the engine fixed, I just haven't found out about it yet. Until then - the Vette just sits in the garage looking sweet!!!

'07 Convertible. I just had the 5th passenger side seat belt installed that also locked up. Now they (GM?) have decided there may be something wrong with the way it is installed. Not sure what that means except maybe there was a defect in how the bolts attach. Maybe the mechanism is cocked in such a way that it thinks inertial G's have been applied when the belt is pulled out to use. Otherwise the service folks are stumpted. All I know is I have a single seat sports car since no one can ride with me. This also means I am not able to participate in any Vette activities with my wife along - not neat. Problem first cropped up at just over 5000 miles. I now have just over 9000.

I've had mine for 8 months, 9700 miles. No problems at all, nothing. Very solid, no rattles, shakes, nothing. So far, best purchase of any product I have ever made. . .
