You don't need one . . . just send me your vette and then I'll send you you a receipt.

No question, right out of the box the Z06 is the ****. I have the utmost respect and admiration for the Z06. The Z06 wasn't available when I bought my C6. When the Z06 did come out I seriously considered trading-in my (then) new C6, however, I'm not one to trade-in a new car so quickly. My C6 was low mileage, mechanically perfect and it was mag red with a removable roof panel...two features not available with the Z06. Appearance alone wasn't much of a factor...I think the C6 is just as beautiful as the Z06. In short, I still loved my C6.

There would have been certain advantages to having a Z06 but even if I bought a Z06 I would have modified it as well. I decided to keep and modify my C6 instead. No regrets...I enjoy modifying my car and it's a blast to drive (more enjoyable to me than driving a Z06). I've run with modded Z06's that are faster than my car and I've seen modded C6's that can run with the fastest, modified Z06's. My car does well enough and I'm still working on it (and having a blast in the process).

Maybe when my C6 turns into a dedicated track car I'll buy a Z06...then I can start modding the Z (of course my wife might just divorce me then).

I certainly don't have anything against the C6's and am quite happy with what I've done to mine so far. However, if I was in the position, right now, to sell my C6 and get a Z06, I would. Then, after a little while, I would start doing minor mods to it, as well.

It's a timing thing, but, one day a Z.

I know people will probably trash me for saying this but I really dont care for the body styling of the z. I like the regular c6's sleek body and more steathly looks. So for me the c6 is an easy choice.

Hear what you're saying Chris. I don't care for everything on any car either. But, I'm willing to overlook some styling differences for more power, performance, and the Z's heritage, this time.

Phil Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal,
I graciously and humbly accept your most generous offer. I'll pm you and we can work out the delivery details. Since this is the easiest question I've ever seen on this forum.........I'LL TAKE THE Z06. So you don't have to waste your time asking me the particulars, let's go for the RF edition. You have my vote for the greatest "pay it forward" move ever.

I have had both. An new 07 base coupe with all the options and a new 08 Z with all the options and I will take the Z anyday. It may look like the same car but its not the same car period.

I'm in the minority here, but until they produce a convertible Z06 I'll take the C6 (vert) please...

Hmmm . . . next best thing, Jim. I wish that I could give each of my good forum friends here a brand new Corvette of their choosing. But like they say, it's the thought that counts!

You're a good guy Phil - thanks for looking out for your forum buddies. It's still the greatest "pay it forward thought." So which one of us is going to actually buy a Z first? I think you're gonna beat me to it.
