A few of you have mentioned you'd like to see the show. I'll try posting on YouTube....never done that before and it's a pretty big file.
If you want a copy, PM me and I'll send one out to ya.

Kudos to you, man. Bone stock and no race experience
I hope they repeat it so I can catch the fun.

Frankly, I wish you had been....with a Z06. I think there would have been far less smirking !

Not their fault. I did that. My apologies to Oregon C6

I don't know why we did this at night. A LOT of the folks that were there during the day split....I really had my eye on a Saleen Mustang and a Modded BMer M3; they pussed out.
My guess is that they shoot up all the daylight with the other cars, leaving us only the night.

I'm not a porsche fan, but the one that won was Sick! The show never revealed his "secret" motor. Behind the camera's, did you ever get insight into his motor? HP rating, etc? It had to be up at the 900-1000 HP rating. It BLEW by the other porsche in the straight.
Ole dude wouldn't let ANYONE look under either one of his hoods. Nice guy, but firm on that, no doubt.
They had it tuned so finely that they were worried about the DA change from where they drove in from to Los Al.

Saw the episode wondered if it was someone from here. Nice car and glad we got some representation. How fast did you it on the back half?

BTW Speed has been running this episode all week.

Thanks, didn't know that
After making that granny turn, I was no more than 125 on the straight. I was more interested in getting to the parking area than tapping it out at that point- I was pretty ticked at myself for having gooned up the turn.

Next time......

great show, this episode showed that AWD with lesser HP wins out.......1000 HP that you can't get to the pavement is worthless

"Modified with an I-pod adapter!" Your car was modified and you lost?!? Just kidding! That car cost 250 000$! You know what we can accomplish with 50 000$ in mods! I think you did great and if anyone else says otherwise "Pay up or shut up!"

Regards,

Marc

Thanks Marc. Hopefully, someone with a Z06 will represent the next time....that and someone who's tracked a time or two.

Great job, that Ipod adapter is a heavy duty mod alright!

It looks like the Viper blew a tire or lost major traction, that was a "clean pair of pants required" moment if I ever saw one.

Also, thanks for your (and your wife) service to our country!

Huuuah sir, thanks

A buddy of mine is a autocross instructor. He warned me about the Viper long ago. Said that he could take my Vette through the twisties, hard; that the Vette would 'talk' to him, warning him when it's going to depart. Vipers are different. According to him, they simply depart controlled flight with little to no warning. I thought that was just talk.
Now I believe him.
