Default Convertable top question

What is the best way to remove the wrinkles that appear in the cloth tops on the verts or is it something you have to live with. Is it worth a trip to the dealership or would it be all for not??

Once the top has been back up for a couple of hours there shouldn't be any wrinkles at all. Something isn't right. Try going over the wrinkles with a hair dryer.

But I'd say take to the dealer if they are persistent wrinkles.
Mine smooth out as stated above. Now for the smudge or dirt marks that's another story.

Do what I do, leave it down - it's a vert!

welcome to the convertable corvette world. the wrinkles will always be there. the top manufacturer will not warrant wrinkles. nor will gm. mine has had them since day one. put the top down and enjoy your vert!

Default I'm going to take my steamer to my top

Try a steamer. Should take care of the wrinkles and will not hurt the top.

Well, I surely agree with the dirt marks thing...but as to the wrinkles, I really don't think the dealer or mfr of the top's gonna do anything about it.

I did notice if you leave the top down for extended time, like overnight, when you put it up it does take longer to smooth out. And frankly, I don't think it ever completely smooths out.

It's not so bad. At least it doesn't creak and groan, and have top separation, and cracks, etc. I'm looking on the positive side, the MOST positive being: when you drop the top, there's nothing quite like it, is there?

My E46 M3 vert and my vette both work the same way for this. The top wrinkles a little when it's folded up, then after being up for a bit..shorter on warmer days a little longer on colder days, they go away.

Never seen a convertible that doesn't do that.

The vette's lines look the best with the top down in my opinion....and boy is it awesome.
