[QUOTE=Wayne O;1565621384]"Drugged out kid." Why on Earth would you say that? Many Best Buy employee's are young and some may be inexperienced but to say they're "drugged out" isn't right. A lot of young kids are pretty damn knowledgeable about electronics and computers...more than the older folks.
IMO Best Buy does an excellent job at what they do. I wouldn't take my Corvette there for a stereo installation but I might take a different vehicle there.
Just for kicks i go into Best buys and ask about LCD vs plasma vs DLP, the kind of answers i get are a complete joke. Ask them about black level, white level or gray scale, they don't have a clue.

"Chiken S**t's"?? Not quite! I commend Best Buy for declining to do an install in a Vette. I'd rather have them be honest and refuse the job rather than having them take the job and have problems. How many shops take on work they're truly not qualified to do? Most shops like to make it sound like they're masters but in reality, very few are. Kudos to Best Buy for being honest and declining a job!
I hardly think the cost of the car has anything to do with it. Besides, it's not like a Corvette is some super expensive car anyway.

I had someone put in a new radio in my C4 at Best Buy and it took about an hour.Maybe at your location the installer didn't have someone experienced enough to do a C6 or they were too scared that they would mess up.

Install it yourself! I put a AVIC Z-2 in mine last year. There is plenty of knowledge over in the audio forum. They can help you build a shoping list. Very easy install, with basic skills.

Best Buy
I worked part-time at Best Buy for 5 years after I retired. Our installer had almost 15 years experience and is a real pro. Putting all employees/stores into a single category is just WRONG, just as putting a Vette owners into a single category would be!
