Default What Octane are you using?

I know we can run any octane level in our corvettes but personally would not consider anything less than premium, i.e. 93 octane. How do you feel?

Premium in California is 91, hence that is what I buy.

I use 93 octane or the highest level available. Some states only have 91. A performance car deserves performance gas. Besides, no one likes knock.

Here in the mid Atlantic, 93 is premium fuel - so that's what I use.

93 octane from a Top Tier supplier - typically QuikTrip since they tend to have the lowest price.

In Oregon, 92 is the top grade. Always Chevron 92 for me.

I think a lot of people do not realize that by putting in less than 91, the engine is actually using more fuel due to the timing change to compensate for the low grade fuel. Therefore they are actually spending more money per tank because they are getting lower MPG.
