One reason I got a manual tranny is b/c I knew she could not shift the car with a manual/clutch
Call me mean, but I know she wont wreck it.
Our body shop owners (down the street) know us both by our first names-no joking. Hint:its not from MY driving.............

My wife doesn't like to drive anything taller then she is. At 4'11" she has no problem finding a vehicle also.

My wife very rarely drives the vette. She says she is afraid in it because it is so small.

My wife loves driving the MN6 in the '07 vert. Her DD is a '98 Camero SS with a MN6.

She's probably going to Pismo Beach in July with her sister, and I'm sure she'll want to take the vert.

No problem with me . . .

My wife has never driven my Corvette. Don't get me wrong, I love my wife...she has many wonderful qualities but driving isn't one of them.

Well,

I bought a 2005 Mustang GT automatic ( I hate automatics ) a few year ago so my wife could drive it. ( A Stick ) She said that she wanted to drive the car. Well in three years, she drove it five times...

I sold the Mustang and bought a manual vette. If she wants to drive it, I would be happy to teach her to drive it, but I doubt she ever will...

Truth is, she does not even seem to like to ride in the vette....

So, It is my fun car.....

My point is, I can understand what your hubby is going through. He wants you to have as much fun as he is having. He does not understand that it is not fun to you. You should invite him to go shopping for, say, shoes. When he ask "Why would I want to do that?" tell him that is how you feel about driving the car... He will get the point....

See that is where you are wrong...I love riding in the vette, but I just prefer to not drive it. Its his baby...not mine. I have my own toy that I can drive.

And as far as going shopping, unless it is for car parts, that's not going to happen. I hate that kind of shopping.

LOL!! Now that's exactly how my wife drives our C5!!!
When Kim has the need for real speed, she takes the corvette keys off the key rack prior to me leaving for work. Her toy (WS6 T/A) makes respectable power, but rides like a boat compared to my on-rails 'vette!
We saw an 07 ZO6 (VR, chromies) at the dealership where we picked up the new Yukon and she slides by me and says "we could probably do both-wanna ask?" Now that's hawt..

[QUOTE=GO4URS;1565871257]Now that's something my hubby would NEVER have to worry about. We have both worked on my stang and other cars. When it comes to mechanical issues...we go hand in hand. We both share the passion for cars, so there is no worries there./QUOTE]

The hubby is lucky. I always tell my wife that my next wife is going to be a car gal. My wife can drive a manual, that is what she learned on.
