Pedal Question
Couldn't agree more. The best product from one of the best/most supportive vendors on the Forum. This our second C6 Vert and like number of Elite Engineering pedal kits. The feel and look are what GM should have done from the get go.

Another view ( I have the wider heel/toe throttle pedal.)
Has anyone tried the pedals from Corvette Central? It looks like the gas pedal is a closer match to the brake/clutch in my opinion. I'm just concerned about the fit since I have not heard anything about them...but they are cheap enough!

After having my own battle with trying to get that pedal and pin back in I gave up and ordered the Elite pedal. The install was a piece of cake to the pedal you have shown here. My opinion FWIW.

If you like the look, the GM setup is a more professional installation, easier to install, and more comfortable to drive. It will also give you the rubber cushion that you are seeking.
The Elite give you a different look. In real life they actually look like they match the hole style of the existing GM aluminum pedals better than you might think.
However, be wary of the Elite pedals. They are OK. But they are pitched on this forum like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and they are not.
In spite of the instructions from Elite, unless your car is already falling apart the only practical way to install the Elite gas pedal is to remove the pedal assembly (the entire part that GM gives you for the accelerator) and take the existing pedal off by knocking the pin out with a punch and hammer.
That is pretty easy if you start out knowing what has to be done. But Elite doesn't point that out and none of their other pedal removal suggestions work reliably. Their instructions just make the project an unnecessary mess and irreversible if you don't like it.
Once installed, the Elite gas pedal is a nice looking piece, but not too comfortable if you are barefoot at the beach.
No dead pedal from GM may be an improvement over what Elite gives you. The stock C6 dead pedal winds up kind of blending in with the other pedals that GM supplies.
If you see it actually installed in the car, the Elite dead pedal looks like it is left over from some other application. It is the wrong size to cover the C6 dead pedal (way too short). And the corner radius is completely wrong for the existing C6 dead pedal - it looks like an unrelated piece of aluminum with round corners stuck on a piece of plastic with square corners if you install it by centering it on the existing.
Take a close look at the pictures above. The Elite dead pedal is basically an afterthought. Might even be just a piece of aluminum left over from a C5. However, if you don't actually look right at it, it looks OK at first glance.
So choose whatever style you like and the pedal kits will look nice. The GM setup is more professional, but if you screw around enough with the Elite it will look passable.
