Default Well,another solid top cunundrum!!!

I've never used that word before!!
Well, the piece the goes into the front slots that has the groove in it for storage and useage on the top came out yesterday!!!I thought they'd have this stuff resolved by 08 considering my 05 had the same thing happen!!I snapped it back in but lets see if it holds.

My description sucks!!If you look at the front of the top on either side.Where the top connects to the windshild latches. There are the holes that slide into the top w/the slots in them. That thing fell out!!I'll try to find a picture.

I don't know exactly what you refer to as 'hoping this stuff was resolved' but I'm not aware of any roof problem from the 2005 up (save for the roof panel separation recall). I take the top off my 2005 frequently....never a problem.

Post a picture if you can.

Creaking tops and roof seperations and cracking, which also occured in 05's+.Also,This piece came out of my 05 glass top as well. It's the piece right up front of the top on both sides w/the slot for sliding the roof in the back and connecting it when it's on.

:o they break pretty easy if, when pulling roof out of the back of the car and the front of the roof is still in the hooks, you raise it too high. raise it just enough to clear the back. the part is inexpensive and very easy to replace.

Talk about a conundrum. Is that something with a receptacle end?

i'll bet the barbed piece, that keeps it in the roof, is broken/chipped. just get a new one and keep that angle down.
