The top on my car has come off about 3 times in the 20K miles i've had it and I dont anticipate it ever coming off again. I took it off for those times for my gf and even she got sick of it.

I love the look but I hate the noise. The backend is like a windtunnel with no outlet. I doubt I'll take mine off except when I drive it around town, now highway driving. I can't hear myself think,

i'm not quite sure what you expected but hey, when you're out in the open like that it gets windy. it gets even windier if you lower the windows. oh, one more thing, the faster you go the windier it gets.

Try lowering the windows approximately an inch or two from the top.

For topless driving in the coupe-

earplugs! it's amazing how much the noise wears you out.

The wind buffeting can be reduced by lowering the windows about 1 inch.

You kidding? I love to take the top off on the drive home from work (and on weekends), on as many days as possible as the weather allows. My commute involves about 20 minutes on a toll road where I drive 70 mph, and I absolutely love the wind in my hair (what's left of it).

If it gets too windy, I roll the windows up almost all the way to the top - because if I roll them all the way up then there are some weird vibration noises.

And I think Vettes look even cooler with the top off....

Windows up helps reduce the amount of wind directly slamming your eardrums... but then the car begins to resemble a bald man with a full beard.

Hmmm, didn't realize our cars came with tops and windows....I think I got ripped by GM.

By the way, the wife and I make fun of people with tops removed and windows up...just sayin'.

Having the top off also makes for some pretty cool shots, like these I took today

P.S. These are a couple of gorgeous shots. Donn

What has worked for me is to roll the windows down about 3-4 inches, seems to cut out the noise, but keeps the wind out (if that's what you're going for)

Thanks !

I will take the top off anyway, I was just thinking that I missed some secret method to keep the wind out. I do not have to worry about my hair getting messed up, I have none. I will try today with the windows down a little. today is a great California day to go on a ride to the coast, but I must work. Great picturs on the topless Vette, I have the same color.
