I just bought the latest kit for the ZO6. It cost me over $130.00 but I was not happy with the finish so I trashed the whole lot! I followed the instructions to the letter but the problem I had was that my car is black and no matter how careful you are there is still a cloudy appearance under the film. This definitely wouldn't be evident on a light color but dark colors it's a no no. Also the supplier rolled up the film and slapped a load of rubber bands around it so the film was creased and distorted in places which also showed up when applied to the car. The film should have been shipped and wrapped around a cardboard tube to protect it. The best protection imho is to have a real true pro install the purpose made clear protective film. Will cost LOTS more but worth it in the long run. Just one man's opinion. No names mentioned.

I agree , I bought it spent too much time putting it on, looked like hell, ripped it off. Had a pro put on invisible bra. There is NO comparison in the two kind of like comparing seran wrap with polyurethane.

I had good results but it took a lot of time to get all the air bubbles out. I used it for about 2 years until it started to get damaged from stone chips. Now i just use mudflaps.

Since you asked....Cleartastic is a brand name for a clear film, that is some type of static cling too. That IMO is like asking for a Kleenex, which is a tissue.

Three years ago, I went to Mid-America's Funfest. There, they have their own version of the same clear static cling material, that they themselves cut for our cars. The instructions are clear and concise, with black and white photos that show how to apply it.

I got lucky, I guess, this stuff on my car is great. I put it on my '05 and had it on the car for three years until I traded for my '08, at which time, I transferred it to the '08. Most people don't even know that it's on the car and I show my car almost every weekend. The key for me was saving all of the packaging so I could transfer from car to the other.

I have had very good luck with THIS product, and will continue to use it or replace it when the time comes up to do so.

Hope this helps

I haven't had the clear bra installed because no one round here seems to know who can do it and do it properly. I'm just winging it now and hoping I don't get too many rock chips but it's gonna happen sooner or later.

Vinyl film is really a waste. It will not stop a rock from damaging your car. Sure its cheap... but remember you get what you pay for. Get a good installer to put on a real clear bra. You will be happy you did. I recommend using ClearMask... its the best film I have used in my installations and it has a lifetime warranty. Check ClearMask.com for more info and to see if there is an installer near you. If there isn’t let me know. I may be able to refer you to one.
