Before you get completely flamed, do a search using the word "widebody" and you will get a ton of info.BTW, the "widebody" conversion is done to 1) accomodate wider Z06 tires and wheels, and 2) to achieve the styling of the Z06. It is a very popular mod, about $10 - 12K to do the complete job.

It’s composed of five pieces; one nose piece, two front - carbon fibered - fenders, and two quarters. Now as to why do such a thing, easy… because it’s possible for various reasons. It aesthetically satisfies the personal tastes of some who prefer the brawnier stance, as well as, accommodates bigger tires in complement to power increases that constitute a greater need for traction.
