Default splash guards

Any one buy the body colored C6 splash guards from vendor RPI Designs and how do you like them? Pros and cons please and thanks.

General consensus seems to be that the body colored splash guards actually make them stand out MORE compared to a "normal" black splash guard. Black seems to work best with most colors.

I read one post from a guy that had splash guards on his car, but when he drove up a sloped driveway. When the spash guard hit, it actually cracked the body fiberglass. I dont have any personal experience...just what I have read. Others probably know alot more if they have them on their vette.

I agree with both above posts. Black splash guards disappear into the tire color. And the stiff plastic kind could be a problem if you hit them on a high center. The flexible black ones, like Ed at www.nakidparts.com sells are the only ones I'd have.

Hard to see even on White:

Don't know RPI Designs, but the plain black ones from Pipe Dreams work fine & are almost invisible....at least on Metallic Silver....

While I have no experience with the painted versions, I recently purchased and installed a set of the flat black splash guards from Nakedparts. My car is black so they blend in very well and look factory installed.

As an unplanned test, I headed to New England last weekend where I got stuck in several torrential rain storms over a 600-mile round trip. This included local flooding where the car caused wakes like a boat through water. While my focus was mostly about not swamping the car in the next deep puddle, I also figured that the splash guards would be victims of the hydraulic pressure and general abuse. BUT they didn't budge, crack, or fail in any way!

The car also performed well with no problems except for perhaps a wheel sensor that is starting to fail. The service traction control light came on a few times.

Next time I will do a better job of checking the weather forecast. The color is just coming back to some of my white knuckles!

LOL..Yes it is...

Ed's guards are great. I ran them for the past year. If you want to go to a little more work, the Zo6 guards can be adapted if you're handy...

I like mine from Performance Choice.

They are more sleek-looking than the ones from Nakid Parts & have a little more coverage.

I agree that the colored ones stand out much more.

I have a set bought from ebay similar to the nakidparts splash guards. So far only installed the front set, it's already made a noticeable differance in road tar and other stuff getting onto the fender edge and sides of the doors.
