Well that's the trade off. For incidents like this, the run flat tire does what its supposed to do.
However the other thing a tire is supposed to do is perform. In this case the run flat fails miserably!
If you've never had quality high performance tires on your Corvette, you have no idea what you're missing.

Ride quality and even low speed handling are measurably improved. Until you have tried it, you really have no idea, NO OFFENSE INTENDED.
IMHO, it was the best thing I ever did with my 2000 C5 and will do the same when it is time with my C6.
