weird message on cluster, boot and EEprom

anyone else ever see something about boot v3.2 and then also EEprom come up on their cluster when starting the car? it came up real bright colored and then the cluster started up like normal

Is the car still under warranty? Seems like the computer has stored a code...maybe a trip to the dealer would clear it or show them that something is amiss...

I saw "cluster" and thought clustered server and/or storage. Oh well.

yeah i have nav, i found an old post on here someone else had mentioned that it was likely due to the stuck reset button on right side of cluster

EEprom stands for "Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory." I'd guess there was a write error and the system re-booted to clear it.

I don't know if there's any connection to the NAV or your stereo system but do you know what software version your NAV system is?

Can you put a code reader on the car to check for stored codes? If you don't have a code reader, I believe AutoZone will check for codes without charge.

Maybe ask the service department at the dealership if they know what the message means. If it were me, unless the message reappears or you've lost any functionality I wouldn't worry about it.
