Just when mine was getting dirty, a rock chip broke it and I had to have it replaced. The guy that replaced it cleaned it before putting it in. .......................But this may not be the long term solution you are looking for. I'm thinking of trying to find some kind of wand with a pad on the end of it to reach down into the most forward crevices. There has to be something on the market that would be useful.
I use Invisible Glass sprayed on a micro fiber cloth. I take my arm twist it 90 degrees, bend my elbow the opposite way and turn my wrist to match the angle of the windshield. Acutally my wife does it.... she tells me she likes contorting her body...
Thankyou! This is one wife that's been using a microfiber towel wrapped around a spatula to try and clean where the windshield meets the dash. Not anymore..order has just been placed.
Using that from where ever you buy it at, you must remember one thing...careful with the dash. When you're done, walk around to the side of the car and look at your dash...it could be scrapped up from the handle if you're not careful!
You can find spatula like window cleaning tools at most auto parts stores. I know one guy that uses a thin, wooden, paint stirring paddle wrapped with a microfiber cloth.

except I do it, no comment on your wife contorting her body.
Invisible Glass by Stoner is the best I've found that does not leave streaks.
Someone said they have these at Wally World for about $5. I picked up 2 of them at a charity store for a total of $1.99. They are fantastic for the windshield and for that long reach doing the hatch. Just don't get carried away moving too fast and scratch the dash.
