Packing a C6

Yes, all of this fits nicely into a C6:

Here's another shot of the load, and it also shows the things I use to protect the car. The covers on the side are just new cotton towels, and the one across the back is the factory "rear fascia protector", pn 17802688, available from Gene Culley. This stuff is important not only to protect the paint during loading and unloading, but also to protect the paint on the underside of the rear hatch, which I have found to be a little delicate.

Here it is, packed:

This shows how it looks once the towels and fascia mat have been folded in. this protects the cargo from prying eyes, prevents rattling from plastic bags, and of course protects the hatch.

And, just to show that fitting this stuff in doesn't require straining the rear hatch, here's a picture showing the hatch resting on the cargo prior to latching. No pushing required.

So, load up those Vettes and See The USA!

Now this is a bit of a petty comment, but I just about bet you have exceeded the maximum payload weight taking that much "stuff". If you would weigh the car with everything loaded, full tank of gas and you and a passenger inside, bet you would for sure exceed the max specification. If I did not exceed it on my trip, I bet I was close.
Seriously...good job!I'm a great believer you can fit mass quantities in a small space with a little organization and imagination.
