I recently purchased a painted battery cover from a well know vendor and had inquired about ordering the C6 logo to go on top of it. I received a reply back that he's heard of these melting, (the emblems) Heat from the eng. bay?? Has anyone experieced this rare phenomonon?? Just wondering if I should order it anyway and take the
chance. Thanks.

Yes, and? it melted? call first, email also, then send it back with a confirming nod from them. tell us how it all turns out.
Edit based on new info: no, don't order it. he's telling you what could happen. if he didn't say, hey, if it happens, just return it for free, then it means he's warning you: you buy, you bought it.
as clint would say, are you feeling lucky, today? unless he says something different, it melts, it's on your dime and all yours.
I think that yours was from me, correct? None of my customers have had any issues with emblems I provided melting.
Yes Ed,
I did get this from you. The battery cover and the emblem. I have never had any problem with this or any of the other great mods that you provide for forum members.

I have never heard of a OEM crossed flag emblem melting by being placed on top of a battery cover, nor any place else under the hood. Not sure who told you that or where the information originates but I've never seen anything to that effect posted.
