A "CE" Chevrolet stamped engine block the CE stands for "Chevrolet Engine." Why always look for some 'deeper' meaning? Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

F = fighter jet (used to be P for pursuit)

A = attack plane

C = Corvette

(unless you are flying a cargo plane

Maybe it has a deeper meaning, like Copious, or Centennial.

Nahhh, Corvette.

Alright. It's actually a closely guarded secret within GM. A fundamental mystery of the universe. GM has promised to reveal the meaning at the end of the next millenium.

Just like my Celestron 14 is called a C14. That's a SCT telescope by the way.

C means Celestron and 14 means the size in diameter of the optics 14".

So i would guess C stands for Corvette and 6 is the gen.
