The Window Valet for Corvette C6 provides remote power window control for the 2005+ C6 Corvettes (including the Z06). It is as simple as clicking the lock button on your Keyfob three times and the windows roll up. Click unlock 3 times and the windows roll down. Excellent way to vent the car on hot summer days as you are walking up.
Not sure if this is what you were refering too. Window Valet deals more with the remote and not the window switch.
I just tried this on my car and it doesn't work either way, is there a trick?
Not really. All those new auto up systems have sensors that will immediately reverse the window if any resistance is encountered going up. I have that feature in my Infiniti, 4Runner and Audi. Works great and it's been tested a few times and it works perfect........ No reason the vette shouldn't have that feature on at least the driver side because it's not expensive and easy to do from the factory....
Cars like the Corvette and Challenger don't have the Auto-Up from the factory because of the way the window rolls down. I talked to the Challenger guys about this (considering Chrysler has Auto-Up on just about every car as an option) and the reason the Challenger doesn't (and I can thus surmise on the Corvette) is that because the windows moves FORWARD when it goes down thus creating a pinch gap between the back of the window and the back of the door.
Additional sensors that are extremely costly and difficult to calibrate are required to prevent pinch in that back area of the window. This is why cars that have the window move forward when it comes down do not have Auto-Up.
