As you know, the C6 has auto down (or 1 touch) feature on the driver's side. How difficult of a mod is it to have auto "up" as well? If not too hard, I wanna mod the passenger's window too.
I know aftermarket alarms from DTI i.e. Viper makes it. Fairly expensive as I had it on my last Vette.
It's not that expensive at all, I had an 87 Mustang GT which I put a Clifford alarm on it, and the "smart windows" module was only an extra $100 IIRC, and it allowed both auto up and auto down for both windows.
Kind of dangerous, that is why it is not offered, if a child or pet has a limb or head out of the window when it goes up could be injured.
Not really. All those new auto up systems have sensors that will immediately reverse the window if any resistance is encountered going up. I have that feature in my Infiniti, 4Runner and Audi. Works great and it's been tested a few times and it works perfect........ No reason the vette shouldn't have that feature on at least the driver side because it's not expensive and easy to do from the factory....
My 03 Acura MDX has it on the driver's side. I tested its safety feature by sticking my hand out as the window was going up. Didn't take much for the window to stop and go back down once it hit my hand.

That piece was not expensive but what was the cost of the Clifford....
My custom viper ran 800 dollars...and it did have sensors like listed above to go down if it hits something.
Even one better, I had my Alarm set to proximity mode and if someone broke the bubble then the windows would roll up on there own...

The Clifford alarm itself wasn't super expensive, but I do remember the entire cost including installation was about $800 because I added so many different modules to it like the proximity sensors, glass breakage sensors, etc. I basically loaded it up with everything, but the main alarm "brain" itself wasn't super expensive. I bet that one could get just the basic Clifford plus the smart windows module for a reasonable price (under $500)
Did this mod on my Ford ranger. Don't know if it would work on the corvette, but we simply used a module from an early Ford taurus. One was needed for each function. Ranger came stock with auto down on drivers side, so to get auto down and auto up on all windows required three more modules.

The Window Valet for Corvette C6 provides remote power window control for the 2005+ C6 Corvettes (including the Z06). It is as simple as clicking the lock button on your Keyfob three times and the windows roll up. Click unlock 3 times and the windows roll down. Excellent way to vent the car on hot summer days as you are walking up.
Not sure if this is what you were refering too. Window Valet deals more with the remote and not the window switch.
Yeah I really wish the vettes had one touch up feature as well.
Its not dangerous as rocketman says above maybe he did not know that many cars come from the factory with this feature now. If anyone knows a way I would love to hear it :-)
