Don't feel bad, I just turned 49 and I am worse now than I ever have been when it comes to selfish, inconsiderate people! My biggest pet peve is left lane lizzards that refuse to move over when they have been politely asked. I sometimes wish I had a ballbat with me but I know I would go to jail.
I know what most of you are thinking, but here is my point. I can overlook stupidity, we all do stupid things. But I can't toloerate selfish, inconsiderate as$holes. You know the ones who pull out in front of you and THEN go very slow. Or the ones that see you sitting at the intersection and don't signal. Our society is so full of narcissism, it makes me sick.
If the guy saw you, then I would of done the same thing. If he didn't see you then you might of overreacted.............just my .02
Left lane bandits are the absolute worst. Yesterday I got my fill of em' driving up to North Jersey and back on the PA and NJ TPK's. Clueless a-holes in MB's chatting away on cell phones, dip*hit women in minivans playing with their hair, and again, my favorites...the damn Virginia drivers. STAY RIGHT EXCEPT TO PASS! (please)
I see this all the time here - but worse - lawnmower mostly over gravels at the edge of the road (trying to trim a tiny strip of grass that borders the road) - gravels flying out of the mower, totally oblivious to cars going by... (I just wait for them to complete a run and turn the mower...)
I had a jerk cutting grass, shoot clippings, gravel, trash, pine needles and cones into road. He had a good 300 foot of road footage and had both lanes covered with crap. I slowed down to a crawl, and kept waiting for him to give the curtesy deck lift, or stop for me but he didnt. I lost patience and shot past him and layed on the horn. Well he didnt like that and gave me a very forcefull number one sign. Then jumped off and waved me back, with fists clinched. I shouldnt have but I turned around and came back. He said you scared the Fubb out of me, (he did about jump of the mower ) I told him, good you fubbing inconsiderate pos. Blow the **** back in the ditch its 150 ft from your house. And I just started cussing him because he did blow sh-t on my car, and if he would have pushed I would have got out and went to jail, I was ready.
In the end he walked away tail tucked, and as I drove away I felt like crap, and stupid. Nobody won. I should have just waited for him to make the turn and drove through the mess he made at about 1 mile and hour. 42 years old acting 17.
Yeahhhhh, I hear ya'.....it's not easy to do. The good news is you recognized it very soon after. And I think you gave us a "lesson" to think about. Thanks!

Virginia drivers, what are you saying (LOL)! No, you are right, been in Virginia for 7 years now and many here think the left lane is to pull up beside the guy in the right lane and keep pace, I don't understand it myself.

Least you didn't pick-up a nail with your run flats! Your never ready for jail!
But the guy mowing may now think twice when a car approaches and stop.
I think going by and honking the horn was OK but turning around was too much...
I would tend to agree with this response as one of the best middle-of-the-road reactions to this.........Geez, folks......its only a car and it is only grass --- completely bio-degradable or gone after the first good wind.........Those who have said it is not legal to blow your clippings into the street are correct, but I can say with assurance that your local LE is NOT going to run right over there are write up THAT ticket...
Now rocks being flung around by the mower because they are mowing their dirt? That could be considered malicious AND dangerous!!
Do you all know the difference between ignorance and stupidity?
Ignorance is curable..........these left lane bandits and those who do these kinds of things to others are probably not...........curable. Not worth investing our energy in them........

steroid use needs to be curtailed, after all, it is Olympic time....
Most of the time I stop, the landscaper sees me and stops blowing or weed wacking to allow me to pass.
My biggest concern is not the grass but the sand or stones they throw with force.
Once early this spring I stopped and waited for a guy to stop blowing s#*t into the street. He saw me stopped with my Vette but just kept on going. I gave him the horn and he still kept going.
I lost my cool, rolled down the window and told him to stop before I got out and shoved the leaf blower up his ****.
He obliged and I went on my way.
If he called my bluff I probably would have just blasted by him, no way am I going to jail for some idiot who probably isn't even a US citizen.
I guess what I'm saying is once you blasted by and scared the crap out of him you should have just kept going. Of course he's going to flip you off, you would probably do the same thing.
Someone thowing me the finger dosen't hurt at all.
A while back my sister-in-laws brother saw a person sitting on his vette he lost his cool add got in a fight. the other person stabed him to death. what a loss over a car.
Again, gonna be hard to stop idiots from blowing the grass and debis in the street. I let the yard guy who mowed our's go after he continuously did it. Just lazy, more than anything. BTW, it's more than just grass being blown (sticks, rocks, you know . . . the things that can damage your "just a cars"). BTW, the ones who always say "it's just a car" are the ones who mostly complain about swirl marks, chips, etc. and what to use to get them out! Anyway, no offense to my friends who say it. Just funny. The thing that gets me more than that, is the inconsiderate attitude. Their doing it, they see the oncoming car ('s), and still keep on doing it. That's what burns me more. But, more than anything, don't stop or go back to the guy. If he doesn't care about the grass, leaves, sticks, and stones hitting you vette, then he probably doesn't care about him hitting/kicking your vette. Not worth it and other ways to get him back.

I'm a Virginia driver and feel the same way about Left Lane hogs. I've seen a few in PA as well....
