That color match attempt is terrible. I would have never expected it to be that far off. Its a blonde color to me. Might be the camera, or the computer I dont know.
It was off significantly. here are pics of it and you can see my car in my avatar.
Wait a minute....You actually expected it to match you car color?? Your sample looks just like the info on their color chart here: http://www.redlinegoods.com/clrchart.shtm
Don't attribute thoughts to me that I haven't stated. I understand you are upset.
What many do here is to use CF as a research tool. That means to ask a question about a vendor, or search for posts on a vendor. No different than a lot of other kind of shopping people do.
Next time, that's what you might choose to do. Or not.
No, I'm not putting words in your mouth and I'm really not angry, I just want to educate others. I did not mean to offend you. I'm just saying, you can't read every post vendors make. Some of them make thousands of posts over the years. I saw seveal pics of the color and it was not what they sent me, I can assure you.
Very wierd... So they claim not to have exact colors, but yet they want to sell to a group that for the most part demands they do.. Maybe they should go over to the Toyota or Dord Mustang forums.. They clearly have the wrong business model for corvettes and looks like bad customer service..
That's correct and not only have I seen it raised as an issue, but apparently so have Wayne88 and rmp. It's happened before.
Premier leather products will cost you and you get what you pay for. The Corvette crowd is very critical of the materials used and why settle. At the same time, you must stand behind the products you sell or don't sell them.
I'll be going to DSV for the rest of my stuff, but I still feel that color not matching constitutes a problem. Their site says they will SOLVE THE PROBLEM for free. The only way to SOLVE the problem in my book is to issue a refund, which they refuse to do.
I bought Ebrake boot, shift boot and Console cover from Redline. I got the samples beforehand and thought the match would be close enough. It wasn't. I advertised and sold the three pieces on the Forum ... and mentioned that it wasn't a match for Torch Red. That was OK with the buyer.
I now have Torch Red stuff. I'm much happier.
It's what the locals here say about the Body Shop I use. "Not the cheapest, but you don't have to go back." Good luck

Maybe you don't understand their business model...They make leather goods for HUNDREDS of different cars. They have a presence on Hundreds of forums as well. The Corvette is just one of the many that they have patterns for. They don't claim to have exact color matches.
Vendors who specialize in Corvette products obviously have taken the steps necessary to source correct colors for a very picky audience. I'd be the first to say if you want exact matches go to Gerardo and be prepared to pay for that expertise...
I understand, but I didn't know I had to research every thread a vendor has ever posted to before purchasing from them. I just think customer satisfaction goes a long way. If I'm not satisfied, I feel they should at least try to solve the problem. They offered nothing but to sell me another item. Why would I buy another item if the colors don't match what I want anyway?? I know Gerardo as DSV has 100% satisfaction. If you don't like it, he will refund money or make different to satisfy you. I'll be going with him from now on. I have purchased from him before and will go back to him for my interior parts.
You only made one mistake and that was not ordering from Gerardo in the first place! If you want something as perfect as it can be made... color, stitching etc... he's the only vendor I would use. I could understand your situation more if you hadn't known about DSV BEFORE ordering from another vendor. You get what you pay for with DSV or he makes it right. To me that's worth paying the extra money he charges... it's worth every penny of it IMO........

I couldn't agree more and I won't make that mistake again. Thanks for your input.
One of the things I've learned on this forum is to do your research. Your situation seems like it should be simple, but reading their disclaimer would send me to ask questions and check other threads. Nothing against them. They put it out there pretty clear. But, I'm the kind that reads instructions and fine print.
A 20% restocking fee is outrageous. They also should have tried to help the guy out. If they can't make the GM colors, they ought not be selling them to GM owners. Also, I would say that their return policy should grant him a return. There is a problem with the product. It doesn't match the stock GM colors.
Cross them off the list. I would rather do business with folks like DSV who goes more than the extra mile for the customer. I, too, have had it with poor customer service.
And, IBTL, because I suspect that the ranks will quickly close around a supporting vendor. Let's see how long it takes?
Damn well said, couldn't agree more. I spoke to Redline in the past and when I found out they did not guarantee a match to the GM interior colors, I decided not to buy anything from them.
I agree with Devilray, if you don't sell good that match GM, whay are you selling them to GM owners.
Good or bad...The return policy contradicts itself....Thanks for letting us all know.
I couldn't agree more, on one hand they say they don't accept returns, but on the other hand, they say they will solve the problem. What if the way to solve the problem is a return??
