I regretted it, the tint guy scratched my Coupe with his watch, and tool belt. He never did get the back window done right either. I'll probably hold off a while on my new Z06.
No regrets, I had mine done Ohio legal, 50% sides and 35% on teh rear. Not near enough for me but I didn't want to give the police another reason to pull me over.
Tomorrow I get my black coupe windows tinted. Side windows 35% and rear darker at 20%. Are you glad you tinted, or kinda regret it.
I'm glad I did it, but sorry I could not find anyone in my area that would do it and guarantee none of the lifting problems around the black dots. If you are a perfectionist like me, you'll never be happy until it's perfect - I'm still looking for someone that can do that. When I find them, I'll have mine reteinted. Meanwhile it protects the inside of the car from the sun.
Next time I would go with the same tint all around. I don't like the sides being lighter than the back. I would go as dark as legal on the sides and use that same tint on the back window.
But no regrets having tint. Sure helps in Phoenix.
No regrets here- i purchased the car with the windows already tinted and the back has a bad spot, i will have it redone soon, i found a person that finished 2nd in the Southern US Tint championship that will remove the old and install the new.
Heat wise no regrets. But appearance wise yes on the 35/20. Then I did my DD 35 all around & prefer that.
Looks better and it gives me better visibility at night w/o the 20.
My only regret is that I didn't get the rear hatch glass tinted dark enough. I went 50% all the way around but now don't think the rear is dark enough. I should have gone with the 35% in the rear like I normally do. Now I'll have to pay the tint guy $100 just to remove the rear tint, then pay him another $125 to retint the rear hatch darker.
No regrets at all. I think just about all cars look better with tint. I just haven't got around to getting my C6 done yet.... mostly because I'm to **** to leave it with anyone for a day. I think 35 on the sides and 20 in the back will look great.
I'm always picky about who I let do it, but once I find the right person -it's worth it.
For the dots - you can take a small, hard rubber ball and press and roll it over the dots a day after they apply the tint, and it will help press the tint down around the dots. With my C5, if you stood right next to the car and looked real close, you could see a couple of very small spots where the tint lifted. Trust me - nobody ever noticed but me, and it was only cuz I knew to look for it.
Here's a pic of my old C5 with 35 on the sides and limo on the back. I won't do limo this time - it is too dark.
Tinted windows are almost mandatory in Arizona. I wouldn't drive a car without window tint. I would not, however, tint my windows so severely it dramatically reduces visibility. That I would regret.
