Sorry I don't have a picture, but on mine the HUD displays the name of the upcoming street, a turn direction arrow, and a countdown bar as you approach the turn, along with the audio cue lady talking. The other HUD data (speed, etc) automatically gets smaller so the NAV info has room. Once the turn is made, everything returns to normal size until another turn approach. I agree the NAV could be simpler but once you understand it it seems fine, I have no problems with it.

I was just wondering if anyone had the pioneer unit, if it was a fair price and if it was as user friendly. I also thought all the other options that came with it was pretty awesome. BTW- I didn't pay $1200 for the nav when I bought it because I bought my car used and got a pretty good deal.
My only gripe about the unit is that it takes the Pioneer literally a minute and a half to boot up and become fully operational.

I am thinking of upgrading to a factory Nav unit myself. Thanks for the info, anyone have a pic of this?

That's a good question. Our Acadia guy said that the aftermarket Nav wouldn't play nice with the HUD and I was originally thinking of doing the same thing with the Vette. I'm used to the direction and distance bar showing up on the HUD and it would be a tough feature to lose.
