tps help

got in my o5 and said my front tire is low so i went to check air my gauge says 30psi the dash says 23 can i reset or do i need new sensor thx

Got a second gauge? If it agrees with the first, you need a new sensor. (If not, toss your first gauge.)

The TPS may be in the registered in the wrong location. Check all 4 tires with a good gauge, you'll probably find one tire low. Remember that the DIC tire pressure reading isn't instant, you need to drive the car to get a current reading.

Check the other 3 tire pressures. May need to drive car to bring pressures up to date, if you added air. Reading may not update statically. As mentioned above, you may have sensors out of position. If so, dealer has a tool to re-index sensors. The procedure takes about one (1) minute.
