Egads, the in-line or in-post advertiser ads are awful. I know places need to pay the bills, but isn't there a better way? I guess I will have to step up my ad blocking. Why do all good things have to come to an end?

Besides using ad blockers, you can also become a paying member. Paying members don't get the in-the-thread ads.

Oh, I've read about this before but today is actually the first time I've seen it within a thread. Thanks for the info.

I agree with the forum vendors who are selling specific services to Vette enthusiasts. Perfect fit. The in-thread ads though

I wasn't aware of that. I take it this was implemented after the sale of the site to Internet Brands.

I was going to pay to be a member to lose the ads, but the performance of the site has been so flaky lately, and sloooooooooooww at times that I'm holding off.

I'm not sure. They both happened close to the same time. I made my lifetime membership purchase a few weeks before the sale. I had previously paid for 2 one year memberships.
