Default Hide a key?

Where is the best place to hide a key on a C6 convert? There seems to be no place to stash a magnetic key box...Thanks Charles

You can use your imagination, I found a place that's not too easy to access but do-able if needed. If you don't have a fob inside the car, the key will only allow someone to unlock the trunk (and then the doors), so it can't be stolen that way.
If you want full protection against losing your fob; hide the key and get + train an extra fob, wrap it in aluminum foil and hide it someplace deep inside the car.
A thief could, in theory, find your key and unlock the trunk, pull the release to open the door, find the aluminum foil ball with the hidden fob and recongnize what it was, unwrap the fob and steal your car. You could also be struck by a meteor.

did you use a magnetic key holder? If yes, where? I can't find anything my magnetic box will stick to...at least sorta protected from the elements......

I hide my key in the ...... Wait, if I tell you then you'll know how to steal my car!

Just think of places that are easy to get to but not too easy.

Easy.

Put it on the underside of the black box frame to the left of the interior fuse box which is underneath the passenger side floorboard.

I used double-sided tape in a dry location.

Why do you need to hide a key. Have a new key made. Grind off the black plastic end and put it in a wallet key sleve and in your wallet. That way it is always with you.

the best place was posted up here before.

they got a new copy of a key that was all metal, no plastic. drilled out hole so that a license plate bolt would fit through it, cut the slot in the bolt a bit wider to accept a nickel or quarter and then put the key behind the license plate.

then if you're ever stuck just find some change and unscrew it.

Default Neat place to hide the key

What I did on one of my vettes is this...

Have the Key "hole" drilled out just a bit so that the license place bolt will slip through it. Take off the plate, then on one of the bolts, put the plate back on with the key behind it. Then, worst case, you would only have to find a screwdriver!

Good luck

Maybe I'm too obsessive, but I have a key hidden on all of our cars (3). As far as my C6 is concerned, I wrapped the fob with aluminum foil and used duct tape to tape it to a location on the car.
