Differential Lub. ?????
I would like to change the lub. in my diff. it is a z51 with the cooler
so how much lub should I buy, will it take more then 2 qts. I would
like to use Amsoil .

capacity varies from '05 to '06 and '07 which are the same (there is a service bulletin do a search for "differential chatter") but none go over 2qts, most importantly remember to add the Amsoil 4 oz. Slip Lock additive, also i dont think the z51's have a differential cooler but i may be wrong.

- The C6 with RPO Z51 (domestic) differential does not have a cooler. The Z06 does have a diff cooler.
- The correct lubricant is DEXRON LS 75w-90 gear oil, P/N 88862624 See DTB #07-04-20-002A, and you DO NOT use any additivies or conditioners such as limited slip with the DEXRON LS gear oil.

FYI, for the C6 I recommend:
AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 (order 2 quarts)
AMSOIL Slip-Lock Differential Additive (order one bottle)
For the DIYer, this is handy:
AMSOIL Hand Pump
The AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w90 linked above does already have friction modifier in it and for my 02 Z06 (dedicated track car) and 06 CTS-V, I use this fluid without extra modifier. But, the C6 diff clutch plates appear to need the extra modifier and the vast majority of my C6 customers use one bottle and have experienced very good results with regards to curing the common C6 diff chatter.
