Corvette and then there is Aston Martin

The Aston is a beautiful car no doubt about it, but I still say as I have said before with the Vette you get both Beauty and The Beast! That my friend is the bottom line and it is one hell of a ride and bargain at that.

we all love ssports cars i especially love vettes i 've had about 12 of them and the c7 will be 13 but at the end of may when i had the chance to trade my 08 atomic orange vert with about 3000 miles on it for a aston martin d7 7 with 5000 miles i did it. why because it's an aston marten. true it's not as hi tech as the vette and not as fast but how often do you have a chance to use the 400 + HORSEPOWER? never actually and the am is plenty fast enough. there's just a certain mystigue about the car and the red leather and walnut interior. everyone should have one to play with for a while i'll probably btrade it for a c7 when the time comes.but it's real nice somebody wrote why trade a vette for a slower car? for me because i'm not 17 anymore and speed isn't everything

Aston
I love the Aston but probably would not buy one. It's a little to preppie for me right now. Where could I go to really enjoy this car? The
Vette kinda fits in anywhere. If I want to dress up for a night on the
town; it's well suited for it and if I want to go to the dragstrip or just
together with car buddies it also fits right in. The Aston for me would be more of an impress your buddy's kinda ride and once it turn a year
or two old; I would'nt want it anymore.

AM's are nice, but you really need a pretty penny to have one that can keep up with the z06 (DBS is over $260k last I checked). The stock C6 should be able to walk over the V8 Vantage.
Like another poster said though, I wouldn't mind my wife driving one.

It's fair to compare for him because he is comparing it to it. The interiors are second to none, well, maybe second to a Bently's. I love Aston Martins, I love Vettes, I love Ferraris, I love Lambos, I need to win the Lotto.....

Having said that, they are both gorgeous, but then, so is the C6!

I would ditch my Vette for a new Vantage in a hot minute . The car , IMO , is the most stunning car in production today .

Yes, the msrp alone puts the ZR1 in a different market...add in the windfall profit of dealers ( sounds better than gouge ) and you have a car that's two or even three times as expensive as a base vette and at least twice the Z06.
If I had that kind of money I'd have something like the Aston Martin AND a base C6 coupe. Yah, not as fast but they sure would look good together. Some will have the money for both ZR1 and equivalent cost luxury/status car. Not this guy though.

Different Strokes for Different Folks. I like the power, some like the little details. Astons are sweet rides, for sure.

But they don't actually do it, do they? And even if they did, they couldn't afford to maintain it. Ferrari is a nice dream, but I'd rather live the dream with my sweet C6.

I haven't driven an Austin Martin since I was a teenager and my friend and I took (borrowed without permission) his fathers to Palm Springs. It was a 1980 Volante. It was an awesome car and I would love to own one some day. I think I'll pay off the mortgage on my house first!

Aston Martin's are beautiful motor cars. That said, the C6 is still my choice for many reasons...performance (modding potential), equally appealing styling and design, reliability, repairability, insurability, drivability/versatility and lastly price. The Aston has the edge on 'plush' and status but that's not what I'm looking for in a car.
I've also taken a dedicated 'Buy American' stance over the past several years. Our US auto industry is crucial for America...for our economy, for the millions upon millions of Americans who depend on it and for National security. It sounds silly but I almost feel a patriotic duty to buy American.
With all due respect, that's really stupid!
That looks too light to be true, British Racing Green but it might just be the photo.
