Since trading in my C5 vert I have noticed that many younger guys seem to like the C6. One of the guys who works at the body shop that installed my clearbra really loved my new JSB coupe. He said his friends are really into the C6 especially the new lights (go figure).
I have really gotten used to the exposed lights but to some degree I still miss the popups and especially the cool rotation of the C4 lights before that.

There have been many posts about compliments we have received on our Vette's, so here's what happend to me a couple of weeks ago:
About 06:00 AM I stopped off at a local mini market to grab a cup of coffee for my 35 mile commute. As I walked out back to the parking lot, a guy approached me and commented on what a nice car I had. He asked if it was an 08, and I said no, it was an 05 with 60k on the clock. He said Damn! it looks brand new! We chatted a bit more about horse power, Obama, McCain and the worlds problems
Coming home that evening going up Crenshaw in Los Angeles, on my way to the 10, a Los Angeles Police Officer pulls up next to me while I'm sitting at the light at King Blvd. I tilt my head down an look through the passengers window and see a big thumbs up and a smile from him. I roll down the window and I tell him thanks! He said it was a beautiful car and asked what year it was... I said it was an 05' daily driver with 60k on the clock. He looked again from front to rear and said "beautiful, she's fast?" I said "oh yeah" with a big smile.. the light changed, he gave a grin, waved and said "be safe"

Very nice 'feel good story' however I've never heard of a person getting a cup of coffee at 6 a.m. for a 35 mile trip! Very very unusual.
